Meanwhile, Troops of the 3 and 7 Divisions of
the Nigerian Army on Wednesday cleared some roads in Borno State for
motorists and other road users to ply. The Spokesperson of the
Nigerian army, Sani Usman, said the roads linking Biu- Sabon Gari –
Damboa in the state have been cleared of mines and insurgents for public
use.
“The public are encouraged to use the road as adequate security
measures have been put in place for their safety. Similarly, efforts
are on for the clearance and reopening of other roads in Borno and Yobe
States,” Mr. Usman said.
