Novena university holds her 2015/2016 Matriculation ceremony


The management of Novena University Ogume Held her 2015/2016
matriculation ceremony on Saturday,
27th February, 2016 at the school premises by 12:00pm.
The matriculation programme
kick started by the entry of the Vice
Chancellor procession led by the Vice

Chancellor Prof. Chris Aniche Okorafor.
After the singing of the national anthem followed by the university's
Anthem, the P.R.O of the varsity Mr. Odishika opened the ceremony.

The Vice Chancellor and his entourage includes;
the Deputy Vice Chancellors, the Head of departments, the Bursar, Librarian, the Dean of students affairs.
Also present were the provosts of the different colleges listed
below:
Provost of Natural and applied science
Provost of Management and social science
Provost of Health science

Also present were:
Student leaders: Adat & Kelly

The Vice Chancellor, by the powers
conferred on him then admitted the
students into full membership of the
university after swearing of the matriculation oath.

The students, were welcomed and
congratulated for being among those accepted fully into the institution.
The VC in his speech encouraged the matriculants to be obedient to already established rules and regulations. He also urged them to shun vices such as cultism, prostitution, armed robbery
throughout their stay in the
university and beyond.
He encouraged them not to
disappoint their parents who have
invested so much on them and
encouraged them to participate in
social activities in the school.
The ceremony was dismissed with a procession back to the admin block while the matriculants began merriment.
