INTERVIEW: Mr Novena, Mr Positivity

Pls can we meet you? 

Hello my name is Tega Onu,  300lvl economics student, Novena university,  a dancer,  actor,  model and singer.  An all round entertainer and a full blown lover of life.

Tell us a little about your background?

I am from a very humble background of 10 , am the second to last born. From Orogun village Ughelli north in delta state.

What are your likes and dislikes? 

I like positivity and hate negativity.

What got you interested in contesting for Mr. Novena? 

It was a collective decision actually everybody in my department pushed and pushed to contest for the Mr. Of my department first then Mr Novena. So it was like a village contributing to my present status. 

What has your office done for Novena university?

In terms of social life we've been able to partner with corporate and individual bodies, creating awareness that there is a place like Novena university. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet but a very famous telecommunication brand.

For how long are you suppose to hold this title? 

Usually its suppose to be for a year but due to ups and downs my tenure got extended which am not complaining (chuckles).

We know there are some controversies surrounding the "Miss Novena crown" we'l like to know more about it?

Hmm I would like to plead the fifth on that. I have no comment. 

Can you clarify who the miss Novena is? 

The current Miss Novena is still under question, its left for the organisers to decide. My office is Mr. Novena, that's all.

When will the contest hold? 

The tentative date we are looking at is 29th of  July  but it has not been confirmed. 

What qualifications do you expect the contestants to have? 

The contestants are the winners of their various departmental contest so they have the exposure,  I just want them to come out and have fun and may the best win.

So the gate fee is free? 

that's left for the organisers. 

We will like to know your relationship status? 

I want to plead the fifth on that one,(Laughs) its complicated. 

What are the qualities you want in a girl you can take to your mom? 

Positive, positive, positive i like someone who compliments me positively, character wise, intellectually and all, some one who motivates and brings out the best in me. I don't think my family will object to that kind of person.  And its a reciprocal thing.
